Each year thousands of girls contemplate if they have what it takes to become a professional model. Am I tall enough? Am I thin enough? Are my teeth straight enough? While many models wonder if they have the physical requirements that agencies and art directors look for, many fail to consider the other important attributes that a successful model must have. In addition to having a marketable look, you'll need to be sure that you're equipped with the emotional and mental tools that you'll need for a successful career in the cutthroat fashion industry. And most importantly, you'll need to have a positive attitude.

While many well-known supermodels have been accused of displaying "diva tendencies" everywhere from runways and sets to international airports, it's important to remember that emulating this behavior can sink your modeling dreams. When you're trying to get your foot in the door of the fashion industry, you'll have to be cheerful, agreeable and enthusiastic to a fault - even if you're having a bad day.

One thing that you may not know is that when you're meeting with an agency, art director, photographer or fashion editor, in addition to evaluating your look, they will engage in conversation with you to evaluate your attitude. This will give them a better idea of what you'll be like to work with on set. If you're cheerful and up beat, then they know that you will be pleasant on the job. If you're on time (with your book and comp cards in hand) then they will know that you'll be responsible. However if you're moody, unprepared, and unfocused even if you have a great look it's very unlikely that you'll be hired for the job.

Just like with many other careers in the entertainment industry, you may face a lot of rejection along the path to becoming a successful model. And unfortunately, it can be extremely disappointing and take an emotional toll on you. However if you go to a meeting still wearing your disappointment from a previous experience, you may run the risk of kissing that job goodbye too.

Think you've got a great look AND a great attitude! If so, and you're ready to test the waters of the fashion industry, check out some of the great opportunities we have available at http://www.StarSearchCasting.com today!

Thanks for all the help, but can you give us any ideas in how to get contacted by agencies if we live in countries that are not very known in the modeling world?
