It is always a good idea to look online at a companies BBB report. That company has many complaints: http://www.sandiego....compid=20005827

Sorry you feel you've been 'ripped off.' There are a number of people who feel the same way...I signed my daughter up and actually have no complaints. They have a few postings there that just don't make it onto SSC and the postings that they have that make it onto SSC make it here a few days later...so if she's interested in something, she gets to apply for it right away. If you check the BBB ALL of these sites, even SSC has had complaints filed against them. This business can be a gamble sometimes...good luck. There are two sites however that I personally don't think anyone should go to...just my personal opinion but newfaces.com and starnow.com. My better judgement had told me to stay away...hopefully if you come across sites like these you'll follow your gut instinct. Good luck!

Actually SSC has been in business for more than twice as long as Global Casting Network and we are a member of the Better Business Bureau and have no complaints.

Okay...I have a question...why does elitecastingnetwork.com have the same talent and the same casting notices and forums and the same layout as SSC?
check out this link:
http://www.elitecast...?showtopic=8305

That question may be a little off the topic...but it looks like there are a few of our online casting sites have twins besides GCN...As far as the BBB goes, complaints can be filed but as long as the company resolves them they disappear...unfortunately, from what I read, GCN isn't very consumer friendly...but I've never had a bad experience with them.
SSC is very consumer friendly...or at least it was with me...Jon, you fixed the issue that we had when my daughter's profile seemed to downgrade itself to a bronze status...you had it back up and running very promptly and were very courteous...thank you...but I still have a question for you...is SSC and ECN related? Even their testimonials are the same wit the exception of the casting network name inserted.

My daughter is a real ham and quite the little performer. I always thought she’d be great on TV, but I didn’t know how to even get her started in that direction. I put her on Star Search Casting, and about three months later she was contacted by a casting director to audition for a commercial. She got the part, and now she’s been called to do another commercial! I can’t thank you enough because it would never have happened if it weren’t for the exposure she got on your website! ECN (Elite Casting Network) is our other site. We have setup a system where people who enroll on either site and pay for a full year membership at any level will also receive a free full year membership on the other site at the same level. You can see more details about that on this page: http://www.starsearchcasting.com/html/shoot_for_stars.php

We believe this will dramatically increase a member’s exposure and potential for work because different people tend to use each site.

A bit out dated.....but just to let everyone know i worked for Global Casting Network (http://www.globalcastingnetwork.com) for about 2 weeks.....i quickly learned of the true nature of the business(trying to get as much money possible, without providing any service) and left the company immediately. I was repeatedly lied to, and told to lie to customers. You want advise from someone who actually worked there...stay FAR away. The company will make things sound great, but provide you only with castings they have their seceratary look for on craigslist and other sites for free.
